The Golden State Collegiate Baseball League is looking for qualified candidates as interns for Spring-Summer 2021. GSCBL internships are a great way to get started on a career in baseball, as interns get the chance to work in all facets of the organization. All Internships are unpaid, college credit will apply where available.
Marketing Internship
- Assist with distribution of GSCBL marketing material to potential sponsors
- Assist grassroots marketing material
- Develop new leads for tickets and sponsors
- Assist with sponsorships
- Bring new Ideas and creativity
- Run League Social Media Account
Media Relations/Journalism Internship
- Manage all baseball information, including daily statistical packages and game notes
- Responsible for all press box operations
- Serve as liaison between members of the GSCBL and the local and regional media
- Write and distribute press releases, newsletters and other information to media and fans
- Generate ideas and content for articles, websites and social media
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with local and regional media outlets, while aggressively pursuing ways to maximize coverage for the league
- Responsible for all updates and new content for the official GSCBL website and social media
- Strong knowledge of baseball rules and statistics
Requirements/Skills:
Candidates must possess strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task efficiently, very detail-oriented, and a great organizational skills. A great work ethic, positive attitude, customer service skills, team player and self-motivation are keys to succeeding in professional sports. Interns will be asked to work outside their job descriptions, so the ability to work well with change and unexpectedness is important. Candidates can earn commission on any sponsorship/ticket sales.
